An ideal plan for “rest day”

Sometimes in life it can get really hectic, and life can be very messy. Those are the times where I believe that rest is very important; through rest, you are able to revitalize yourself, you're able to see what you have done, and essentially just relax for a bit before becoming ready for next challenges. Personally, as someone who is really dedicated to do a lot of things everyday, sometimes I would let myself have something called a “rest day”. Essentially, that the rest day means that I would relax for the whole day without doing much stuff. Of course, after this rest day I will go back to the usual routine, but this rest day will be a very good occasion where I can treat myself a bit better than usual - basically, make myself feel more ready for the lots of workload to come. That's why today I would like to give you an overview of what a rest day should look like, and probably through this you can incorporate some break periods into your life every now and then, so that you can get healthier and be more ready to come back to the hustle and bustle of life .
Let’s talk about a day that I would envision when it comes to this. My envisioned day would typically start at 7:00 when it comes to rest day. After waking up, I will make my bed of course, and start to stretch a little bit. I believe that by stretching a bit it gives me some more energy, and I become a bit more energetic when it comes to being prepared for the day. After waiting up, I will brush my teeth, because I want my teeth to be white and nice, and I also have a face cleaning routine. Essentially, I will wash my face with some foam cleanser, and then put on some toner and some serum before putting on some moisturizer so that my skin won't get dry and oily. After finishing this, I would have breakfast. Typically these rest days will occur on the weekend when I have free time, therefore I would make breakfast myself. I can get some leftover food from yesterday or I can just make my own, but typically I would make my own food. I would have a cup of coffee with some milk, and some sort of cakes or noodles. And after this I would have a walk outside for a little bit with my dog because walking in the morning is a very healthy habit - not only are you exposed to the morning sun which will give you a source of vitamin D, but you will also be able to breathe the fresh air and make yourself feel a little bit better. After this, I will take a book and lie somewhere outside to read because I really like reading, and after reading for about an hour or so I will come back home and make some chocolate chip cookies. Personally, I am very fond of baking, so this is a good time where I can bake some cakes or make some chocolate chip cookies, because typically I don't have much time to do this. After this, I will make some pasta because usually in the weekends, there are days where my parents aren't home, so I just use this time to make some pasta. So when the chocolate chip cookies are being baked, I would make some pasta! Typically, I would make pasta with pesto sauce, but there are also some days when I make the Gigi Hadid pasta (without the vodka) because it actually tastes very good, and plus it's pretty easy to do. After that, I will eat the pasta, probably get some juice from the fridge, and after that I will eat the cookies which just got finished by the time that I finish lunch. After that, I will watch a movie (I am someone who really likes movie) and after watching for about an hour I will take a short nap quickly - about 20 minutes. I learned this trick from Japanese people - this “power nap” is very good for you to be ready for the afternoon. After I wake up, I will play with my dog for a bit before writing some poems - for these poems, I typically posted online on my website, but I also use some of them to participate in different competitions. After that, I will ride my bike around and probably go buy some books because I really like reading, and after that I will come back home and go to the gym. After going to the gym I will take a shower there before coming home and just relax with my iPad until dinner comes, which my parents made. And after dinner I will have a skincare routine again and then put on some mask - personally I really like Kiehl’s turmeric mask because it really helps brighten my face and also remove some of the excess oil. After that, I just relax and lay on bed while waiting for the mask to dry out, before washing it off and continuing on with my routine, which is to put on moisturizer. And then finally, before going to sleep (typically at 10:00 or 10:30) I will read more.
This example of a “rest day” may seem very simple; however, the idea I want to convey here is that sometimes, you need to get yourself some rest - a day to treat yourself - so that you can confidently continue on with the hecticness of life.
