Summer, it's that long break of the year where you have two months of not having to go to school. Personally, I believe that this is the perfect time for you to revitalize yourself, to make yourself another person, to essentially "glow up." Today, I would like to share some tips with you guys about how you can start with this "glow up," how you can make sure that this "glow up" will become a reality, and how you can track the progress so that by the end of summer, when you come back to school, people will be impressed by how much you have changed over only a 2-month break.

The first thing is that you have to establish your goals. When you establish your goal, be detailed: how many kilograms or pounds do you want to lose? How much height do you want to increase? How do you want to envision your body to look like? How do you want your skin to be like? Just imagine your dream self in 2 months and write it all on your notes or somewhere safe that you can look at when you want to. A good thing about establishing goals is that you won't procrastinate. You know that you have things that you have to finish over the summer, therefore it will prevent you from being lazy or to give up halfway.

A very important thing that I think many people may forget to do, or do it but sometimes not do it properly, is that they (or you) should maintain a skincare routine. A skincare routine only takes some minutes of your life every single day; however, it will really ensure that your skin is going to be fresh and nice. When someone looks at someone else, one of the first things that a person will look at in another person is that person's skin. Therefore, bad skin and one with a lot of pimples, for example, can really make someone feel bad about themselves. Of course, negative self-talk is to change yourself, then you should apply a skincare routine every single day. Another thing I would like to share with you is that you may not understand your skin the best, for example, what conditions are they having or what problems are they having. Therefore, something that you should do is to seek out a dermatologist and get a very serious check of your face so that they can provide you with a good treatment.

Next is to get enough rest. I know that in the school year, you guys have a lot of schoolwork and other stuff to do, therefore many people aren't able to get enough sleep. However, sleep is very important. By sleeping enough and sleeping early, you can actually boost your height. You will also become more energetic and be more refreshed for the next day instead of being sleepy and tired all the time. Therefore, because it's summer, you don't have much stuff to do, please try to relax, please try to sleep more, even take naps if you want to. This is to ensure that your skin can be brightened, and you can feel more refreshed and more productive to do a lot of things that you have planned for the summer.

Next up, exercise. There are a lot of things you can do: you can go to the gym, and you can jog, you can run, you can play sports, do whatever you want, just exercise. Because exercise can bring a lot of benefits to your health, including losing weight. However, if you're exercising outside, make sure to wear sunscreen so that your skin, your body, and your face don't get burnt.

Next is to eat healthy. A lot of times when we are at school, we don't have much time to cook meals; therefore, many teenagers decide to eat fast food or to order food out from the restaurant. However, these foods can contain a lot of bad stuff for your health, and it can also increase your weight and make you more susceptible to diabetes. Therefore, if you have time, try to cook more healthy food, incorporate vegetables and fruits into your meal, and I assure you that your body will feel much better.

Finally, always track your progress. Every week or so, try to see if you are still sticking with the schedule or that you have fallen behind. That way, you can know where to improve on and to force yourself to continue on working on improving yourself, physically and mentally.

With that, I hope you good luck with planning out what you can do over the summer for an amazing "glow up"!
