Use online resources for your academics

Ooh, this post is going to be very good, very helpful would say. So, in your academic career, you're certainly going to face a lot of challenges, right? So, what do you do when having these problems? While you can ask your teachers and your friends, another solution that I would like you to focus on today is that you can use the internet. The internet, as you know it or not, contains a lot of information, and they can be very helpful with your academic life. Additionally, not only do they help you with your work, there are also online resources that you can use in order to prepare for exams, test yourself, do practices, and a lot of other purposes. Because of this, knowing how to utilize these online resources efficiently can really help you with understanding concepts easier and to be able to grasp information more easily.

So why am I focusing on online resources today? Well, first of all, a lot of sources online are free. You can easily access these sources, and all you need is your phone, a laptop or a computer, as well as some internet connection to be online. And to use online resources means that you will be able to learn something from the perspective of a lot of teachers, and each of them will have different styles of teaching and different styles helping students understand the concepts, right? To tell you the truth, your teacher at school may not be the best teacher when it comes to making you understand something; therefore, if you need help, you can always come online and see if there are teachers who are able to teach you and to be able to make you understand the concept. The last benefit of using resources online is that you can watch these videos, these websites, everywhere. If you want to reach out to your teacher then you only have the time of being at school, when you come to the office or come to them directly and ask for help. When you use sources online, you can have access to information almost instantly with the help of just an electronic gadget.

First, let's talk about YouTube videos: there are millions of videos available on YouTube, and a lot of them are very very useful when it comes to teaching. Something I love about videos is that the people who are talking to you, who are teaching you are actually teachers as well (some of them), who have been qualified and who may have a good approach towards teaching students, Another thing that I find very interesting is that for most of these people, their primary purpose is to make money from people watching them, and the way to make money is that they need to have many views, right? And the way for them to have many views is that they post quality content, and by that I mean that the teachers will have a tendency to post videos that are very helpful and that can be easily understood by people. That's an advantage that you can use, when the videos are easier to grasp compared to the teachers that are teaching you at school (not always though).

They are specific websites for some specific subjects, and today, I would like to introduce you to Khan Academy, which has helped me a lot with different subjects, and I really would like to thank the founder for having created this. There are lots of things that you can learn from Khan Academy, for example, SAT or AP classes - personally, I have used it to prepare for my SAT exam, as well as that I am using these resources to self-learn some subjects.

Well, we know that these resources exist, but how to use these sources effectively? So, I have some tips here that you can follow: first of all, take good notes after you have learned from these videos; take some notes about what you have learned. You can do it online, you can do it on paper - it's up to you; but personally, I would prefer to use a textbook because I can bring a textbook everywhere, and it has been proven that you are able to remember more things if you are writing things down using your pen. Additionally, Quizizz and Quizlet are sources where you can customize the questions, and you can test yourself over and over again with the content that you are taught.
